good things about piracy
#11
Hi Midas
I live in a country where the government blocks certain sites so I have to find my way around these in order to get what I enjoy, be it books or even movies. We have Netflix but it is a dumbed down version of the US one so whilst we pay more for the subscription we actually get less program content. Again this sux, so I look elsewhere, that's whats good about piracy for me.

Its about:

No censorship
sharing of information
fast downloads (usually)
research sources availability
entertainment accessability

Some video-related examples:

*A dvd from the store will have unskippable trailers, the pirated version won't have the trailers, just the video itself.

*Online streaming services like Netflix can pull a tv show/movie off their service at anytime. With piracy, once you download your video, you can keep it as long as you like.

"you don't have enough money to watch this video."
