block an uploader
#1
I think it would be very handy if a user were able to simply block seeing uploads from a certain user... there are some people that consistently upload offensive or fake materials and i understand that they can easily change their name/login, but it would be great if i could just block their sorry asses from my end... i understand that admins at PB do their best to eliminate these idiots, but sometimes i see nothing but pages and pages from these fakes...

If users upload 'offensive materials', how do you expect to block them if they change their name? Fakers are usually nuked and banned by staff/crew and aren't up for very long.

If you see 'pages and pages of fakes', then feel free to report them in the Report Torrents/Comments forum, here:

ok... yes, mods/admins do an admirable job of taking down fakes and it is probably just cuz of my time difference (i am in thailand) that i see so many pages of fakes in the software section, but usually, by later in the day (my time) they are gone.
Actually, what i am referring to that bothers me is the pages and pages of muslim postings in ebooks, for example. I am not a muslim, have nothing against muslims, but get annoyed at having to scroll thru pages of those postings.. i respect their right to post, would just be convenient (since they are usually posted by the same users all the time) to block those uploads...
if not possible, i understand...

the tpb will not censor any content simply because you are annoyed by it.

He's not asking anyone to stop them from uploading. He's asking for a way to filter it while he is browsing.

There is no way to filter out a specific uploader, unless they are including their name in the title of the upload, or there is another word consistently included in the torrent title. Put a - before the term(s) you wish to exclude in your search.

I'm a Mac user and this "cleaner" script is not compatible with my Safari browser.

I give up.
