OK, I am planning to buy a modded XBOX360 from a classified ad, and I have the impression that it's got LT+3.0. However, I also have the impression that there are Dashboard updates that are later than LT+3.0 and will flash the LT+3.0 firmware back to stock.
Now I am told that if I flash back to stock, I have to take out the unit and flash again. Shit.
Consider this scenario: there is an XBOX360 Dashboard update on a game disc, and I don't want to foul up the IXTreme firmware. Which of the following do I really need to do?
_ revert to stock (if there are no other options)
_ install the firmware from the game disc (if this will leave the IXTreme firmware alone)
_ set the option to "no" (if prompted to update)
