Which VPN Providers Take Anonymity Seriously?

BTGuard is one of the original VPNs designed specifically for bit torrent. It's a bit dated and overpriced but it does the job and I trust it more than say Norton.

What I'm concerned about is the fact that one of the places it operates from is from Canada.

The last time I checked, Canada has become a hotbed of anti-piracy trolling. Take the Ontario-based Pacific Mall: been in business for years of modding consoles and selling counterfeit movies. Just two years ago, I had to take my XBOX 360 to be RGHed in someone's home. The last time I was there, they don't even sell video game systems anymore.

So how can you trust something like BTGuard if some of the servers are from Canada?

Just use their European or Singapore servers. Their servers in Canada aren't going to connect your IP to you. They share IPs so yes they get banned but you can switch them.
