Vuze Help?

Hey! I'm decently new to torrunting and everything and use Vuze, but I noticed a lot of games on the Pirate Bay by dauphong show this below when I torrunt:

Does anyone know what it means? I'm going to assume it means the file is gone, deleted, or something of the variant. It's extremely frustrating going through each one and finding the same result.

There is nothing unusual there.  That is standard behavior for Vuze.

Vuze has its own proprietary DHT network of other Vuze users.  It uses that first to attempt to retrieve metadata.  When its proprietary methods don't find peers, it falls back to using the DHT standards used by just about every other client.

If the swarm is small, you may have to retry a few times before you connect to a peer.

A few things to improve your chances:
  • Upgrade to BiglyBT
  • Make sure you have the mlDHT plugin installed and enabled
  • Make sure you can accept incoming connections

I changed to Bigly and it made things 100% worse. Nothing will download, the download speed is always at 0, and the other two are already done.

"Requires GTK and java-headless" (BiglyBT)

Make sure they are installed.

Check docs for the required Java. Vuze was traditionally a beast of a Java program, and often finicky about its java versions.

Advise: installing program in /opt, as well as the recommended Java, and make sure to set the JAVAPATH in the config file.

Also: If using a VPN make sure to bind to the tun.
