Torrent stuck at 99.9% gets very close to completing

hi i am downloading a movie thats 22.6gb , i have 99.9% of it and need the last 4.51mb , sometimes i get nearly all of that last bit to within say 200kb of completing but then it goes back to needing about 4.5mb..why ? how can i get this to complete ? what is going wrong ? i have downloaded 24.4gb even though file is 22.6gb !

Why does it roll back? Because verification, I suppose. The pieces loaded in your client might be shown as additional percents, then the client checks it, rolls back, as it should. If this does happen too often, I'll perhaps think somebody tries to poison your download and I could've blocked all the seeds that do that on the list. I never encountered it myself to such extent, but I heard it does happen. Having downloaded more than the data is the clear indication of.

remove the torrent file without removing the data file, then reload the torrent. sometimes something 'technical' happens and it just needs a little shove. you can probably even just open the data file and it will work fine.
