The truth about Russia and Ukraine current stand-off
#1
The whole Russia and Ukraine thing, has been going on now for a few weeks.  Then again no that's wrong it's been going on much longer than that.  Infact the both of them have massive history that goes back hundreds of years.  There has been that many different changes all this is nothing new.

The truth is very simple, the real reason why Putin has invaded is because he feels threatened by NATO and what alliance they have formed over the years.  The truth is that Putin doesn't like it how Ukraine have been wanting to join with NATO and also the EU.  Because the Ukrainian president has declared that he plans on joining NATO and the rest of the west for protection, this has alarmed Putin and he feels threatened for Russia and his own country.  The Ukrainian president when he was elected into power in 2019 by a landslide victory decided to say that he wanted the protection of the west and what NATO offers.  It was a huge mistake and now has cost the lives of many people simply for this mistake and for saying they should have joined the West.  If he had not done this then all this wouldn't have happened.  Now Putin sees this whole thing as a threat so he has had no choice but to attack Ukraine as he wants to take it back because he wants it before NATO and the other countries try and steal it away from him.  It's not Putin's fault it's the fault of the Ukrainian president he made a huge mistake in saying he would join with the West and go against Russia their neighbour...

It's that simple really all this stuff going on could have been avoided but you have to remember that Putin has to defend the East as he is the most powerful man in the East just like Biden is the most powerful man of the west and the USA.  Look at it from Putin's point of view, you threaten Russia by saying that the Ukraine join forces with NATO and look what happens,  Russia have no choice but to fight back instead of being left weakened by the power that NATO offers.

Don't believe what you see on the media, they tell you what they want you to believe.  It seems to me that the West and the media want you to hate Russia so no wonder all this conflict.  You challenge the most powerful man in the East and this is what happens.  Stupid politics if you ask me from the Ukrainian leader, not a very smart move look at his country now and what do you see?

It currently says:

Quote:The Doomsday Clock is currently set at 100 seconds to midnight, the closest humanity has been to self-destruction. The Doomsday Clock will today reveal its updated time as determined by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. 20 Jan 2022

Good post.

In the long run, Ukraine will be better off staying in the sphere of Russia's influence than pursuing fleeting Western alliances. This is certainly apparent at this time because Ukraine has been more or less abandoned by Western governments (aside from the various and sundry military supplies).

The idea of Ukraine's accession to the EU is a pipe dream, both in the short term and the long term.

Also, Ukraine has finally realized that NATO membership is not in the future for the country.

Had they: 1.) accepted the above sooner, 2.) respected the territory and people of Crimea and Donbass, 3.) stopped shelling Donbass, 4.) stopped the nationalist, neo-Nazi terrorism, 5.) engaged in meaningful diplomacy with Russia, 6.) respected the Minsk Accords - all of this mess could have been prevented.

The only path for the country is a meaningful trade and diplomatic relationship with Russia.

The Western establishment press like to call this an invasion. They also promote the false idea that the military operation was unprovoked.

This cauldron of trouble has been brewing for EIGHT YEARS. People in the Donbass have been suffering and dying for EIGHT YEARS. Russia has been trying to resolve the matter peacefully and diplomatically for EIGHT YEARS. Considering that timespan, Russia has shown incredible patience.

The conflict was most certainly provoked by Ukraine and the West for a very long time.

From the Russian perspective, it is not an invasion. It is a necessary military intervention.

West was covering up crimes of Kiev regime that led to Ukraine’s tragedy, Lavrov says

Published: February 25, 2022

The West was silently encouraging the rise of neo-Nazism and Russophobia in Ukraine and covering up the crimes of the Kiev regime in Donbass, which in the end led to the country’s tragedy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said opening talks with Foreign Minister of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Vladislav Deinego and First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Sergey Peresada on Friday.

"During this entire period, the population of your republics was subjected to abuse, perennial shelling on the part of the Kiev regime that openly adopted a course towards Russophobia and genocide," the Russian top diplomat noted. "All these years, our Western colleagues were consistently covering up for the Ukrainian regime, turning a blind eye to military crimes against civilians, to the murders of women, children, seniors, to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and silently encouraging the rapid rise of neo-Nazism and Russophobia which in the end led to the country’s tragedy. And, of course, the West fully supported the Kiev regime in its attempts to sabotage and finally destroy the Minsk Accords," he added.
