yeah.. i only caught some portion of whats the deal with qbittorrent searching. qbittorrent is still on my older mojave box but i was under the impression you needed python and some further configuration for the searching to be fully functional.
i got python installed but haven't been back to check it out.

im just supposed t search and it reveals what a web page wont?

i only have 3 decent search engines and want to find more options. im looking back at trying usenest again after years but its a blur here of activity.

please enlighten me.

I still havent found anyone to donate a comcast hotspot user/pass but comcast, who wont give me service supposedly now has pre paid service now for 45$
if i can manage to get that, more post will flow out. I have 10 or so 4k riffs done and THEY ARE SICK... but most are 20+ gb
its more than free mega will bear, more than most of you want and way more than my current bandwidh will allow.

handbreak is a bitch. i can peel out mid quality encodes for you guys at 7-10 gb in 11 hrs on my m1 mac mini.
but the best encode settings (slow) takes about 30 hours -each movie.
i have started downloading 10 or so gb versions of 4k films for this community, adding my audio to that from my 30 gb or so versions, and uploading that here.
even with the slow internet, that's still faster than handbreak in slow mode.

So, its a bit much but over the next month and with some help searching where im not looking, things should be catching up

If you google qbittorrent search engine it should give you plenty of options for trackers etc. I definitely didnt do anything special and am able to search up most of the 4K remux files, stuff from Bombadiers (disc images) and FGT (remux) show up without issue right after they release. Tbh the main reason my 4K thread is only audio files is because cutting 2160p remux files down to something manageable on mega is just too much and its generally easier to try and direct anyone who cares to just grab the remux torrents and throw my audio file in with mkvtoolnix

I have a 4K copy of The Sword and the Sorcerer but it's 55.6GB. Let me know if you want it or not. I'm fine with uploading it to MEGA if you want but it'll take a while. I'm not good at compressing video files and usually stick with REMUXES when I rip stuff for myself so I'm sure the quality would end up way better if you were the one who compressed it.

i will look at it. never tried to dl a file that big on mega. it times out on smaller files but seems to eventually finish.

my suggestion was to physically split the film through a file compression app.
keka and winrar are reliable and easy.
just compress the files and choose split to whatever presets are available.
you should wind up with 5 or so chunks that uncompressing -should resaassemble the chunks.
no video compression whatsoever...

otherwise send it through mega and i wil see what happens.

Anyone who can help us get accounts at any torrent site might be helpful in general.
i believe you must be allowed access somewhere to upload torrents.

I only have access to upload torrents on some private sites that wouldn't be useful because they are all for specialized content like TV vault which is all television where the last episode of the program aired at least 5 years ago and Asia Torrents which is exactly what it sounds like and its sister site for European films. I don't have access to any general torrent site where you can upload whatever you want like Pirate Bay. Have you considered getting a paid account at MEGA? I have a Pro Lite Account which is 5 Euros a month. That gives me 400GB of cloud space and a 1TB per month transfer quota which isn't bad if you use MEGA a lot for uploading and downloading. I'll try splitting The Sword and the Sorcerer with WinRAR tomorrow.

where would I find those?

Nah those are scene groups, you will see their names when you search for those files like when you put Handy on your files. If you have the default trackers loaded and search "sword sorcerer 2160p" you should see them

It's easy to get 4K copies when they drop--the problem is finding a copy that's still being seeded 6 months later.  I ultimately had to get my copy of The Sword and the Sorcerer 4K from a private torrent site because I couldn't find any copies on public torrent sites that were still being sufficiently seeded.  Do you know a good site where old 2160p torrents for movies like The Sword and the Sorcerer are likely to still be actively seeded?
