we need more info to help.

Thanks for your post, yes I am moving the video down to 4.1 level for PS3 compatibility, ive been using it recently since the PS4 player has been giving me issues, but its mainly compatibility with legacy stuff.

I use XMedia Recode to do it, basically i just convert the video down to 4.1 and usually leave the audio untouched, but even if i just copy the video and audio straight from the source and change container to MP4, i still get sync issues. Strangely, VLC seems to handle the converted files fine without sync problems, so im not really sure what the deal is.

Basically i can take RT files straight from their website and they work just fine out of the box since they use level 4.1 and AAC in an MP4 container for the HIGH TV and HDMED stuff. I don't mind swapping containers (and i really dont even mind re-encoding video if the encoder wants to do 10bit) but the sync issues are the real stickler for me. Honestly if i could just keep audio from going out of sync, it would be fine.

I do the same thing with every other mkv posted here, even converted Traknos's recent encodes down to 4.1 with no sync issues, and your H264 encodes are also great for me since i can just swap the container and 3 minutes later its perfect, no sync issues. Ive only noticed these sync issues on Riffling's uploads, which is why im curious about what specific method he uses for his audio edits and syncing.

Just go get a 30 dollar Andriod box and your problems are solved.
