I'm really curious and I'm missing something.
Is there a setting in the Tor browser or a specialized software to do more than browse websites?

Not the tor broswer, the actual tor network, whereby the tor browser is just a modified firefox that routes all your browsing through that network

I have no idea how to do on windows but in the magical linux world of just werks™ there are prepackaged and free as in both libre and gratis solutions- even an entire linux fork called KALI which also comes with tools to snoop and do all kinds of l33t haxx0r things

I've got a machine running linux but there really isn't much that I do with it.  Almost everything that I use is coded for windows.  There's just not much available for linux

If you needed to encrypt/anonymize your entire connection (not just your browser) the best tool to use is Tails (The Amnesic Incognito Live System). You can run it on a thumb drive and everything is wiped when you unplug.
