You said in the other post that you bought a cheap key. I think I'll do the same.
Just tell me one thing: does the Windows 11 key you bought send you anything through the mail, or does the key come through the e-mail?
Thanks.
EDIT: Well, in hindsight, I think that a legit Windows 11 key is irrelevant to the solution. I was trying to prevent a TPM check from a Windows 11 installer. Whether a key is legit or not, it won't affect the way it looks at a computer.
I'll keep looking.
Thank you for your input, FloodTheWaves.
EDIT: LangPaal, can you link the description of that torrent here and not the Magnet link? I just need to read about that torrent. Thanks!
Hey dude
Honestly, I really think you are worry about something that just is not a problem at all.
I have a Z690 Gigabyte Aorus Pro DDR4 motherboard on a brand new 12th gen build.
That mobo has the latest Software TPM built into the mobo.
I have a legit 'grey market' key that worked successfully so win 11 pro is fully activated and legit (ish).
Despite all that - you can still turn off whatever security stuff you want (mostly - except tpm unless you use a modified win install I think)
I even install torrents just fine (just turn off windows defender and av and internet [unless needed] )
So seriously man - you are worrying about something that is a total non issue.
My advice is to just let it go and install Win 11 Pro and enjoy your pc.
BTW I bought my key from here - the site is down for maintenance but this looks ike the right link
Server Maintenance (cjs-cdkeys.com)
I received a Win 11 Pro RETAIL key - which was a huge relief cause that's what i wanted.
NOTE that it is an OEM so it'll only ever work on that mobo.
But if you have a pc you are gonna use for 3-10+ years that should be fine...
you'll prolly want to upgrade to a newer windows in the future anyway.
I can't guarantee you won't have any issues buying the key but mine was smooth as.
when you get it you can check it's the version you wanted in windows
Open Command Prompt on elevated privileges.
Execute the following command:
slmgr /dli
Should tell you the version and retail or a bulk key etc
I'm not affiliated with the company - just bought a key for myself.
Just follow the instructions - I used a prepaid visa debit card from the supermarket (MAKE SURE YOU PAY WITH CASH SO ITS NOT TIED TO YOU)
And I tied it to an email I set up solely for anonymous stuff like this and paying for a vpn etc.
I paid, then on the site they have an 'autokey' thing... press a button and it shows your key
Go to win 11 and activate it - then use the above to check what you got.
If you didn't get what you wanted - just email the company. I've heard some say they are pretty good about fixing things?
Anyway - forget about the tpm stuff - it's not important at all.
Doesn't stop you from using torrents or whatever you want to do.
Hope that helps.
