Social media f**king hates us

I just had my account banned from reddit for some bullshit reason. I double checked everything and I didn't break their rules at all!
Reddit is the WORST of the social media platforms and for the rare times that I've had to use it... It always turns out the same

Truthfully the problem is Big Tech

Big Tech is like a rattlesnake. Never trust them !

My new plan is to make a full break from search engine and social media traffic. I've had enough of the lies and being screwed over.

It's time for my sites to become destinations and not colonies. It's time to control my destiny !

Reddit's concept is good but this is what it needs to do:

1.  Get rid of the karma and upvote-downvote bullshit.   All this crap does is weaponize the popular opinion.

2. Charge a yearly fee to own a subreddit.  (Obviously some will be worth more than others)

3. Make sure some subreddits are only owned by the appropriate people. (ie: A Catholic sub should be operated by a priest.  A City's sub should be operated by that city hall. etc)

There was never a day that social media wasn't shit since at least the days of USENET, and quite possibly before that.  I have never registered on any social media site despite invitations from friends and family.  I always suspected that the owners were far, far more interested in hoovering up personal data and in ad revenue, rather than in providing a new/better way for people to socialize or make new friends.  There is quite a body of evidence to support that now, but always was reason to suspect it before.

Not only that, but everything I have ever heard or read about these social media moguls has a pretty serious creep vibe, particularly their bullshit sales patter.  Yeah, I know that many industrialists were horrible people too (particularly that Hitler-hugger Henry Ford), but they got big and famous because they produced products of outstanding value to the public.  What have these sanctimonious assholes ever produced that was worth having?

A city sub owned by the city hall can be a problem since they might just be interested in neglecting certain facts about the city that harm their reputation

Too late... Government already does that. Giving them control over their own sub just makes it honest.
