When you upload music, in what fashion do you upload?
Do you upload bits and pieces of your collection, meaning that you get individual files somewhere and upload?
Do you post entire albums for upload?
I only get bits and pieces because out there, there are only bits and pieces of a soundtrack that are worth listening.
I am looking for opinions.

.
So far I have only uploaded full albums.
But I really want to upload all my bits and pieces in one package.
I just don't know if anybody would be interested in a 5 GiB mix tape.

The few that I've done have either been the entire album or a collection of 1 artist.
One person might think the there is only one or a few good tunes on a soundtrack, but there is also people who think the whole soundtrack is good.

I think people stick to what they know, that is standard, that is CDs. Mix tapes won't work. They should be very unique staff, not soundtracks. The only thing I can imagine would be radio broadcasts recorded by you that don't have CD edition. For example summer festivals or staff like that. In classical music that would be easy, for example contemporary music festivals with premiere works, but the problem in this case would be that no one would download it.

as for me,
i prefer bits and pieces as not all tracks in an album gets familiarity and popularity,
only upload an album if someone request for it or i found that no one uploaded it,
and i don't upload first from their release dates but wait for some time when track starts to chart somewhere

I only uploaded full albums. I feel if the person downloading wants bits and pieces, they can choose to download the parts they want. I'd rather full accessibility rather than making the downloader go and find the whole thing somewhere else.

.
follow up . . . . .
Since sharing is the main thing but knowing all my bits and pieces would likely not make for a desirable/popular torrent I hashed them all into eMule.
So with over 1300 audio files there are lots of hits and lots of downloads. Kinda nice actually, as historically I haven't used eMule too much.
I'll save the full albums for torrents.

I only upload full albums, but when a request is made for a specific track then i will upload a single track...
but i personally prefer full length albums, either in splitted tracks or as single file with cue

I only upload full albums as well. As already said, if someone only wants bits/pieces...they can select the songs they want from the torrent before downloading.
