Searches throwing up deceptive site page on Chrome

The TPB home page loads fine, but whenever as search query is carried out Chrome reacts with this page.

This means searching TPB is basically impossible.

Ditto.  Recent, books, TV Shows.  Big red screen from Chrome.

Have you tried to click on Details and try to proceed? Also, use an adblocker. If that doesn't work, disable Chrome's malware protection.

Menu -> Settings -> Show advanced settings -> Privacy -> deselect Protect you and your device from dangerous sites

OK.  Done.  What's this.  "Pay $500 Dollars to my files back".  But TPB told me to let in the bad man.   Confused

What do you mean with "Pay $500 Dollars to my files back"?

You sure you're not using a proxy? I just went through with Chrome, no ad blocker of any sort, and got nothing of what you said.

I'm using a VPN.  The  red warning sign is still there.  I was joking about the ransom message just as I hope you were about turning off the site protection.  Should I turn off my security program as well?  Have a great evening, night, morning or all of it.

No, I was not joking about turning off Chrome's malware protection, it's a PITA.

I gave you several suggestions, if you don't want to follow them, that's your call, just don't start acting like a troll.

One of the ads (surprise surprise) is hijacking the page and trying to redirect you elsewhere.

Turning off javascript will certainly stop this from happening.

Installing something like NoScript will make it easier to deal with as you won't have to keep turning javascript on and off. Just disable it for TPB.

You'll still have to re-enable it to leave comments, or scroll through multiple pages of comments, but for the most part, TPB can be browsed with javascript off.
