For anyone getting the red page in chrome saying Deceptive site you can do this to solve the issue. This is ONLY for chrome.... go in settings, then click on advanced, then click on content settings, now click on JavaScript. now where it says BLOCK there is an "add" to the right side, click on ADD, now add https://thepiratebay.org into it..... Thats it your done, should be solved now, this way you can leave the javascript option on (set to allowed) the only site java will block is the ones you add to the block list.. Hope this helps.

Google regularly blocks TPB; and equally regularly unblocks it again a few days later.
Chrome, a browser for the masses, is deliberately overly protective. That is not an entirely bad thing.
But TPB is a pirate site, with "illegal" material as well as the occasional dodgy ad. If you are visiting such areas of the web you should know what you're doing. If you don't, that's your problem.
If you're not willing to disable an unnecessary layer of over-protection just wait a few days for google to fix their mistake. Or fuck off back to cloud cuckoo land where all the torrent sites not only provide all the content you want, for free, but they're totally ad free as well.

"Have you tried to click on Details and try to proceed? Also, use an adblocker. If that doesn't work, disable Chrome's malware protection.
Menu -> Settings -> Show advanced settings -> Privacy -> deselect Protect you and your device from dangerous sites"
and for the actual fix we have wait for the hamsters to sober up.

If they remove the ads outright, it will be a pay service only
ads will never go away, they will live on the internet for eternity...
How about you just block that site in your router or host files and never see it again.
Like I did years ago, never see ads, never get popups, never need an adblocker....

And just as an FYI as to how great blocking sites directly works....
I use IE11 mostly and laugh at the people saying it is useless and unsafe and blah blah...

That is something that is reported by google and maintained on their list of malicoius sites. Since that is the add site it should be no problem, otherwise a slight inconvenience. The best thing is to get an adblocker like uBlock Origin.
