As of late, I have been having some trouble ripping some episodes off Star Trek The Next Generation Season 3 discs from the library. They either don't register off the list of video tracks, or if it would do it, it would come out as one second video clips.
I have been using Handbrake with AnyDVD, and while they have been helping me with good "services" over the years, I ran into a stumbling block just now.
Also something of note: I have been using LG's DVD Burners.
Updating AnyDVD to the latest version did help with ripping all 26 episodes of Star Trek TNG. But when I re-borrow the Season 3, it couldn't deal with the same symptom.
My question is, does getting another DVD drive (make, model, whatever) for ripping attempts be prudent? That's what I'm wondering. These DVD were released about ten years ago, and others have ripped it, so why can't I do it? Besides, LG isn't THE market's leading optical reader in the world, though well-known.
I don't know. Was my observation even logical? Your answer, please.
