Riffling, I am absolutely astonished at how great this looks. Everything, including the color, is so richly presented. Thanks for doing this (and the other recent posts).

I dont know if you are familiar with BudgetBits' post of a widescreen PAL dvd rip of Laser Mission synched to the Riff? That could really use an upscale too!

It looks great. I watched it last night. THANK YOU Riffling!! This upgrade required more time, effort and talent than was on display anywhere onscreen.
Although it's a bit like you've restored a 1975 AMC Gremlin to pristine condition.

I first upscaled to 720p using the GaiaHQv5 model, then again to 1080p using the ArtemisHQv12 model; all-in-all about 42 hours of GPU processing time. Includes Unriffed feature audio and DVD commentary track and chapters.

There are external GPU enclosures for PC and Mac laptops that have a Thunderbolt USB-C port, but if you got a Mac M1 or M2, you are SOL.

If you got cheap PC that has a 650 - 700 watt supply, a RTX 3060, RTX 3060ti or RTX 3070 will work nice. The GPU does all the work, so you wouldn't need a fast PC. You could pick up a 10 year old Win10 PC for next to nothing or free, stick a gold 650 - 700 watt supply in it if the stock supply is too small and put in your RTX 30xx GPU.

Since crypto went to crap, miners are dumping their rode hard and put away wet GPU cards. I myself wouldn't buy one, I'd rather buy new. Since EVGA is getting out of the GPU business, their prices are looking pretty good.
