Is this the movie where Jacky has a really good respectable fight with a boxer dude towards the end? Sounds like it's a mess with all the edits and cuts. It's interesting to think there's all these different jank versions of movies we may have watched over the years and not even known it.

Oooooooof the boys are at the watching "interesting" cuts thing again...so this was the third cut of the movie I downloaded and it's technically a DVD upscale to 720p (and at a weird 25fps framerate which made me have to do some odd timing stretches for both the commentary and re-authoring someone else's subtitles.)  This one they viewed has soooooo many cuts to it but I'll see about looking for a truly HD version of this if this weekend gives me any free time.  But for now, it's 1997's Mr. Nice Guy...added to the stash!

This one ends with a huge fight against Richard Norton.  Samo also has a nice extended cameo if I remember right.

I went through a real Jacky phase in my late teens early 20's like a lot of guys do. I guess it's because it was around the late 90's early 2000's (so NZ was just stepping out of the 80's) and we were getting better and better access to movies I had never seen. That's a long time ago now so yeah a lot of his movies kind of do merge into one.

After viewing, this is 100% the version I saw at the cinema. As for the Jaboody crew wondering where the Red haired reporter went at the end.. She was beat down horribly if I remember correctly and at hospital. Really messed her up. There's more stuff with that demon gang girl in the beginning as well. More blood during the shootout scene. I think Mickie gets more hits too. Poor thing. I remember importing the China DVD when it came out just to see what I missed. Been like 15 years since I last saw complete. Really enjoyed this one.
