Luckily it wont be that way forever! Feel free to give them the money

They already have my money.  I buy the new releases every Friday when they come out.

I'm perfectly fine with old-school flicks like these in SD, as well as riffed and released in SD.
i'm actually here for it.

I also enjoy a lot of the upgrades the fine folk on this board release.

It sucks that you didn't like it. Heard.

Thanks, Tadd
The problem isn't SD as much as the very bizarre aspect ratio.  If you ever had a television with a zoom feature that's exactly what the Rifftrax copy looks like--a widescreen version of the movie then someone accidentally hit the zoom button on the TV remote.  I had an SD version of Undefeatable before the high definition remasters were released and it looked way, way better than the Rifftrax transfer.  I can't really fathom where they could have gotten this transfer from.

Thanks a lot for posting, Taddghostal. I thought that this was one of the best riffs they'd done in a while, and a decent film as well. It was good to see the familiar faces reshuffled from Honor and Glory.
That scene in the interrogation room was definitely used in another Godfrey Ho film with different dialog, but I can't remember which one. It was obviously filmed at another time, since Rothrock had totally different hair.

I'm okay with it too.

Are you trying to insinuate that a guy that directed 39 films in 1988 isnt very good at it??

... I'd had a rough day.

I feel terrible.

Yeah, like you said previously, someone must have taken a full frame VHS transfer then letter-boxed it because ... "that'll make it look fancy" ... I guess?

As much as I was happy to mock the director and cinematographer, we're probably missing a good percentage of the intended image, and no film should be treated this way.

Some barbarian at a crappy distributor somewhere needs a slapping.

Yeah its almost exactly what you said, the movie was originally done in 1.85:1, somebody took it down to 4:3 for VHS/DVD and then chopped it down again so that would fit 1.85:1 again for some reason? Rifftrax has no issue releasing 640x480 stuff so I doubt they would do this, there would be no benefit to them other than extra work. And as unhinged as Godfrey Ho is, he definitely isnt behind it either

And just so everyone knows, the Vinegar Syndrome 4K looks unbelievably good. One of my favorite things to do is whip up a 4K riff sync over the weekend and keep it to myself for a few months  Tongue
