Waregimp, you pin a lot of things very precisely although I don't agree on all your points. We can discuss those later. But lets hear out Soulcity's version of how the world works, seeing how she used that phrase several times in several posts.

Years ago someone said the next generation would have less money, less education, less expectations, less everything than the previous. Your rant isn't without cause.

1.Technology has polarized society and empowered radical fringe elements and while fanning the flames of communist ideologies
------------------------------------------------------------------
Something must be clarified here. Communism has two seperate meanings.
Economic: The Swedes, before their social suicide, were a mostly communistic (socialist) society. The Amish are communiusts. Any group or society that puts social interests before individual profits is communist.
Political: The political manner in which communism is in a society is diverse. It can be slightly benign Fabian Socialism (where the elite still rule), to other forms mostly determined by the culture in which it is in. In China and RUssia, both backward societies, and with rather intolerant and brutal cultures, communism manifest as such. A good example is Cambodia, where it was found that that the de-urbanization program of Pol Pot was never intended to turn into a genocide by the party. The killings were started at a local level, and escalated from there. In China and Russia the Party installed itself as masters, and used their people as gulag labor to propel them into the industrial revolution.
The West is preparing itself to be just as brutal and even more homicidal. In fact, even today when the tallies are carefully counted, Capitalism has led to more death and misery than Communism. I have worked with emigres from communist countries. Most said there was little difference in freedom, and some planned to return after they made sufficient money to buy property. The thing about freedom: In Moscow you could curse a factory boss up and down, with no consequences. Here you would be immediately fired.
The crap being pushed by Bernie, AOC and the 'Green' crap is MMC which is NOT communism by any means. It is simply a sustenance stipend to return the *Bread* into the Bread and Circuses necessary for all voracious Empires. The Roman EMperors knew too well that they had to throw the dogs some bones to keep away the wolves.
The early Bolsheviks experimentd with what we would call feminism, and more loose family arrangements (in a nation with many backwards moslems). They quickly reversed course and returned to pushing more conventional family and gender roles.
What is being pushed is nihilism from the grossly distorted Frankford School of socialogy into the nasty gibberish called Social Marxism, which is antisocial to the core, and feudalist in outcome (not anything Marx would recognize).
#2. In a deindustrialized society, what purpose do real skills serve? Engineers. Tool and die makers. STEM.
#. Critical thinking is dangerous to any power structure. Its why popular sports were invented by the clergy and politicians when the 6 then 5 day work week was mandated in Western Countries. If people had Saturdays free they just might.... Gillet Jaunes

No one ever attempted to sail across an ocean on a leaky raft just to escape a capitalist nation and defect to a communist one.
Keep saying that communism is better than capitalism and perhaps one day you'll get to find out for yourself which is better.

That's not what he said, he just made a somewhat lengthy description of what the word means.
And while people don't usually flee a capitalist country, we must keep in mind such a perfect capitalism is only a "theory".

Therefore he (or anyone else) can describe communism how ever they wish but anything less than a free unregulated open market is going to inevitably case death and destruction.
The problem we have in the United States is that government has gotten too big and we have far too many regulations.

So we're saying the same thing, just you added the Human Nature justification. I'd say a free market, much like what we here call "informal economy", is a each man for himself and last man standing kind of thing; trickery, dicey to say the least, treacherous to be cold. Resembles a bad case of anarchy, the analogy that comes to mind is a whole bunch of rats fending for food, territory, and procreation.

How I want it to work:
- I want to stay at home and raise my daughter.
....Someone has to hunt and farm while you're on a full time nursing/teaching job. Communas (hippie, amish, or NASA ones) are the typical solution for that.
- I want to have 2 more children
....Why? Is there any reason for that particular procreation rate? Of course most species are set to have many offspring but (most) humans are less dependent on the environment.
- Not worrying about sending my kid(s) to a public school that have transexuals teaching my 5 year old to masturbate
....I don't know what to figure from this one, so let's just say so far we still have the right to some opinions and preferences, but remember people in USA used to say the same about black (Afro-American) people and now it's illegal. So, you'd rather have them learn to masturbate from other boys, like a some decades ago.
- I want to send my kid to figure skating class with a peanut butter and jam sandwich
....Dunno if that would be the healthiest, even more for sports, but why not?
- Have one garbage can in my kitchen instead of needing 4!
....So you don't support recycling? It's ok, just hire someone to do the waste segregation and other chores for you. And give thanks for not living in Germany, they have very strict controls on garbage there.
- Cops that will arrest the idiot smoking pot in front of my house in the summer.
....You live in a free country and you can arrest him yourself, you know? Of course, cops or armed citizen, the judge will let him bail and come back to kill you anyway.
- Not have less money than that Muslim immigrant on my street that refuses to get a job
....That is hard to believe, but if true, maybe you should do things different. If you can't beat them...
- Yarn that costs less than a factory made sweater.
....Ghandi also wanted things like that. He had his own cotton to make threads, made his clothes out of them.
- Be able to move to a better house and take my dog
....I wanted a lot of things in my life, like today's dinner, but not always got. But inherent to a free economy is the fact nobody will get support checks and somebody will starve, sleep in cardboard boxes, etc.
- Feminism to vanish from the surface of the planet.
....That's a big mistake, imo. Maybe women should move to Universalism, Humanism, i.e., "Equalism". But who wants to be an ignorant, hysterical, unstable, immature, dependent woman (the 'little lady' type)?
Sounds like heavy social interference / regulation to achieve all that.

Immigration is largely driven by $money$. Look at the current hordes from Latin America and Africa. Right now its the idiotic dream of free money as the demonrats are using immigrants as a means to gerrymander their districts and the electoral system. (As Lincoln did with Blacks in the South).
Up until the 80's the US was the largest manufacturing hub on the planet. Jobs were always to be found, and for a time one could easily get laid off at the end of spring, enjoy the summer on unemployment, and confidently get back to work in the fall. And immigration was needed to keep the machines turning.
The socialist countries never held out the promise of wealth for immigrants. The living stands in most were lower to mid middle class. My Russian cousins did not want care packages from gramma. They wanted $USD to use in foreign exchange stores. A Russian I worked for had his own car, panned for gold in Siberia, was provided education with a free PhD, and even had his own interior decorating business. He came here because he wanted MOAR, and was disappointed by the fact that lowly middle managers could make decisions suich as mortgage loans, with nobody to appeal to. He took his gripes to Brezhnev himself. And was such a PITA that he was asked to leave the country.
Police states and tyranny are not determined by economic systems. Look at Saudi Arabia. I would sooner live in North Korea (if I had to choose), whose political system never really emerged from the middle ages, but at least has the intelligence to have the military help farmers with harvests and planting when needed. (Socilaism there really only applies to the civil service/party members). Both are shitholes, regardless of their economic systems.
Read Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn for a better perspective on things. Also perhaps Murray Bookchin.
Our current stage of capitalism is heading straight to Feudalism, better known as Corporatocracy.
So we're saying the same thing, just you added the Human Nature justification. Libertarianism. Ala Ayn Rand. Greed is good. More is better. Better to be the hammer than the nail. Better to be master than slave. A gross and fallacious misinterpretation of Adam Smith's idea of a 'free market'. Smith and Ricardo hated the 'rentier class'.
A modern society must have economic regulations and an industry fully subserviant to public needs. To the Founding Fathers this was considered so basic a tenet that it was not bothered with in the Constitution since all the staes had it formalized as *law*.
Corporations. The definition of which is the 'privatization' of profits (shareholders) and the socialization of losses (shareholders not persoanlly responsible for losses). The LAW in the colonies was simple: A corporate charter could only be issued by a legislature, it had to have a fixed term, a limited purpose, and was *required* to be in the public interest. For example, the charter of our first central bank expired, and was not renewed, due to huge losses. Andy Jackson took great pride in killing the second central bank as he regarded it as antithetical to the public interest. Railroad money bought the law, and federal judges, until corporations attained the rights of *citizens*. This is not taught in schools.
Nor is the fact that money is created ex nihilo by banks when they make loans.
