I've asked them about it but they've not replied. I've uploaded loads of torrents in the same piece size before based on the same data size that I'm trying to upload myself and it has worked just fine so it's obviously the Pirate Bay server/s that are at fault. I guess it's just a waiting game really, waiting for somebody to sort it out.
Don't bother trying to recreate your torrents again in different piece sizes you are wasting your time it won't make a damn bit of difference.
granted you are right... however it is a work around till they fix it.no need to change the torrents

I am getting a bit annoyed with it myself, I see other people all uploading stuff but yet I can't myself and neither can you or various other people. It's either just broken in general or maybe somebody is messing around with accounts and has maybe blacklisted some of us so we can't upload anything. I was going to say that also I don't think anybody has blacklisted me because I've not done anything wrong, like broken any rules or anything. I was warned to stop posting comments on vonRicht's torrents several months ago and I did that, I stopped doing it and I was getting myself into trouble. I haven't been on his torrents now for months I've been behaving myself and doing as I was told so I don't see any reason for me to get blacklisted on here. I hope not anyway I was going to share a torrent last night but found it wasn't working where it usually does. 9 times out of 10 it's always worked, I tend to use my VPN when I'm trying to upload a torrent here sometimes I have to try different countries until it will work properly. I know it can be hard getting them on sometimes but I always find that using CCleaner also helps as well like once you've uploaded the torrent you can clean your computer with CCleaner and then when you log back in again to Pirate Bay you can see the torrent then.
Trying to upload to Pirate Bay can be a frustrating act but I've never seen this happen before where you get that 500 Internal Server Error message. I uploaded Jaws a while ago, the torrent was about 55 GB and it was just fine on 8MB piece size so I don't see any problem it should work, it worked for Jaws and I'm trying to upload something at the moment that is about the same size with the same Piece size...

Working (mostly) for us too now. Using 16mb pieces and everything except a torrent with mp4s + Pictures have gone up without a problem.
Sucks that we dont get the seeds from the torrents uploaded to other sites in the meantime, but we'll live.

Just for the record, I just tried again out of curiosity to see whether making a torrent with a larger 16MB piece size would make a difference.
The bottom line is, it didn't, it made no difference at all. Still getting the 500 Internal Server Error message just the same whether it's 8MB piece size or even 16MB piece size the largest one you can get.
They say usually that you're only supposed to use a 16MB piece size if your torrent is over 200GB in size which I know because I've made a few before like that myself so I know that if you don't use 16MB then the server will just reject it. But in this case it's nothing to do with that, regardless of what piece size you use. In my situation I'm trying to upload something but it won't work and I can't just "make it smaller either" that's no good.

What matters is the size of the torrent.
1kb more possible to be raised than 30kb.

I've got the same problem. My torrent is a complete TV series and the piece size is 16 mb. Nothing I can do to make the .torrent file smaller. And besides, I've already uploaded it to another site, it would be silly to "compete" against my own torrent with the same exact content.

I see if I can explain it again. server has a issue.. resource or code bug or something throwing it with torrent files
workaround that works for me always
and can submit more then one a day
1) if file is 500k or less chunk size 1024 works
2) if greater.. try different size.. anything over 1gig
or many files 8/16mb works else
try to reduce the size of file encoding to torrent file
I use utorrent 3.41 with ad hack to make torrent file
I add comment and 10 trackers
select size and click ok
then up load ..
I tick english, make sure title not too long
enter some tags
and single line comment
and works. give it ago until they pin fault
