Ok Thanks One last thing , right now im grabbing a torrent of 3GB and it says 28MB wasted (0 hasfalls) .
Does that mean , 28 MB has been wasted from the file im downloading ? Will it affect the quality of my files ?

Wasted shows a combination of discarded data and bad data. Discarded data is data that's sent to you by a peer that your client didn't want. Hashfails happen when bad data is received and the client throws it out. µTorrent automatically verifies all downloaded data and to ensure that only correct data is written to disk.

So the question is , in such a case will it affect my downloaded files , like receiving corrupt or damaged files ??
Yes i know utorrent has "download resume" feature , but i didn't pause my download before my system shut itself down . So will it affect my downloaded files
thanks
Its never affect ur download files

Hi guys , i have been noticing this thing for quite some time now and thought i would ask you all .
Ok , so i downloaded 5.3 GB of data of a particular torrent , but uploaded 8.7 GB of it .
How can this happen ? i have only downloaded 5.3 GB ... not 8 GB ... so how 8 GB was uploaded from my side?

You have uploaded the same data to multiple peers.

Thanks kjf ... mind if i ask some more questions .
Ok , So if i set my upload speed limit to 10kbps - 25kbps and keep uploading while downloading at the same time , will it be considered seeding ?
Or do i have to finish downloading to start the seeding process ?

Seeding is notifying the torrent servers that the file is available on your machine. Uploading is when they start downloading on the other end.

You have to finish downloading the entire torrent to start the seeding process.
The term is widely misused, even in torrent clients (eg. uTorrent) but the bittorrent protocol (and therefore the workings of trackers and DHT) is perfectly clear. Only peers who possess the entire contents of the torrent are counted as "seeds". Only uploading done by "seeds" is "seeding". All other uploading is just called uploading.

You mean "tracker". There is no such thing as a "torrent server". [I'm not being pedantic for the sake of it here--babumoshai is asking specifically about the meaning of terms so precision is what is called for.]
The term for notifying a tracker that you're joining, continuing in, or leaving a swarm is "announcing" and the announcement doesn't notify that the file is available on your machine it notifies how much of the file is available (starting from nil ie. "totally unavailable"). The tracker then determines whether you're a "seed" or a peer based on whether you have 100% of the contents of the torrent or not.
