Movies automatically playing in HD on the computer?
#1
Hello. I always notice that on the movie downloads they have that it's in 1080 or 720p. If I'm playing the movies directly on my computer (as opposed to burning it to DVD) will it automatically play in HD or do I have to do something?

Thanks,
Brad

If you download a movie and play it directly from the 720p, 1080p file. it will be in HD (High definition) automatically.
If you burn the file to a dvd it will play in 480i SD (Standard definition)

if you burn the dvd as data disc the 720p/1080p resolution will stay untouched (along with everything else),
if you burn the dvd as dvd-video the file will be converted to 480i/576i (depending on whether you use ntsc or pal standard, respectively).
