Movie Quality Torrent
#1
Hi  Smile

At the moment I'm downloading movies with remux-quality, because i want to have the best quality when im watching movies. But they take a lot of store away.

So my question is, which torrent movie quality is the best one? considering the quality (always 1080p) and store.

In what is a remux better than an usual bd-rip oder a WEBrip?

Thanks for your help Smile

[I want to save my store but I also want not to "suffer" in watching movies with worser quality than possible]

Um....

I think you are saying you want to get the best quality with the least size. I think.

For 720p it should be around 3-5 Gb and for 1080p it should be 5-8 Gb.

Anything more than that is probably overkill.

The best quality?

Currently that would be a "BD50", which runs around 40GB per movie.

that's correct.

But what's better .. WEB DL or BD-Rips? and there are so many bd-rips i have no idea which one is the best.

I would say Blu-Ray rips.

I don't know why, but I think it's because it takes more time to rip it than web downloads, where they decode the stuff on the fly.

Neither.

Once you move away from the objectively best to a compromise of size and quality it becomes a subjective matter.

i.e. what is best in your eyes with your viewing experiences to date and your tolerances watching the sort of movies you like played back on your equipment is completely and utterly different to what is best in my eyes with my viewing experience and tolerances watching the sort of movies I like played back on my equipment.

You have to find what you like. Try a few different things. If one seems better to you then stick with it. If none seem better to you then don't worry about it.

Aiden, if I may ask, are you going to burn your downloaded movies on disc?

It might stand scrutiny.

Wow.

It seems like yesterday that I bought a 2TB external HDD.

So you're planning to find better quality rips and delete the lower quality ones?

The best quality for a movie under 10 GB.. BD-Remux is too big, almost 4 TB of the store are gone
