Agreed. You'd be posting from prison. Which means a long wait queue for computer use, not to mention the person ahead of you, the slow, one-finger typist, could be a guy known to one and all as Vito the Giant Male Rapist.

Not at all. If someone breaks into your house in the U.S., you can shoot them. No prison here. You people live in the wrong country I guess.

If the burglar doesn't have a weapon, it's a little trickier, but 9 times out of 10 even then you will get away with it. And why shouldn't you? Screw that person. They knew the risks.

Oh, I'll just break into this person's house in the middle of the night trying to steal anything I can get my hands on and maybe even rape or kill people in the house, but if I get shot, that's wrong! A travesty of justice. My rights were violated! Pffffttt.

If you do that and are shot, that's your own fault and too bad for you.

Not necessarily, some states in The United States think that if a person is in fear of their life (or someone elses) they can use a gun to kill another person.

Someone you don't know being in your home is an extreme type of fear, especially if there are children or babies in the home.

Why do you say that?

Canada's one of the best to live in, except if you count technology, where we get the least for the most money, unlike South Korea and other nations. Sad

Well, I see how both sides can be correct here... In Joew's case, the guy "ran away". Since he was fleeing, if he shot him, he could get in trouble. But if the guy didn't run away and was on the attack (and still in your house), you can defend yourself and ice the motherfucker...

That was also my point. Very astute. Smile
