You got me there, ill88eagle, none.

How many cases did you have with intruders, thieves, arsons, robbers, and QiikSand?

I cant even count... But here's the thing - there's a non-violent way out of everything unless your gf is drunk

That many, eh?

Do you live in South Africa? I hear that when protesters get rowdy, they loot and turn violent.

In case anyone was wondering. If you do have to shoot at home, here is a video talking about shooting in blankets (in case and intruder came in while sleeping). How the bullet does while shooting through pillows, or in a laying position...

Very thought out and elaborate. It proves you are not the only one to ponder this question...I know the gun show is not your style... But I'm sure there are other preparedness videos out there.

Well, I may abhor taking lives, unless it's a Calculus teacher who accuses me of cheating, I do like things going BOOM!

I've slept with a Taurus revolver (cal. 38 model 889, not the .410/.45 Judge) a couple times and it leaves oil marks and smell on the pillow.
Also fired in the middle of the night, from a sitting position, after being startled by a thumping at the door just 12 feet ahead of me. One should preferably sleep on a comfy sofa or chair, keep gun in holster, draw while throwing blanket aside with the free arm, then assess situation (scared, in the dark and without proper senses including balance). Aim high to avoid killing children or the neighbor's cat. First round will dim your eyes with a flash and muffle your ears due the room echo. Then just hope your wife, landlord or boss don't mind the splintered hole(s) in the building.

I "pirate" your words. Guess we've the same opinion on many issues, just focusing on different aspects and using different words, btw.

If you're going to sleep with a gun under your pillow, just make sure you don't sleep with your finger near the trigger or you won't ever have to worry about quelling intruders.

Can someone tell me if my grammar is right? It's 5AM here, so...
