I can burn files but not folders
#1
This just happened tonight. I have no idea why. I burned a few bluray disks backing up data, games, etc but then suddenly I got about 1,000 errors trying to burn from one of my folders. Literally over 1,000 (it counted each file in the program, not in windows thank God).

Anyway, I can burn the contents of the folders to bluray, but if I try to burn the folders themselves it will cop it over but gives a 0kb file size after the error. I've tried copying the folders to other drives and there's no problem there. I can't burn a complete folder from any of my drives, protable or internal to the bluray drive now. But again the files themselves copy over just fine.

I tried uninstalling the virtual drive that various burning programs install but that didn't work. I tried rebooting, but that didn't work. I suppose I could try a system restore, but that seems a little extreme for the problem.

The drive is HL-DT-STBD-RE WH14NS40 and this is happening on Windows 7. I'm 99% sure it's either 100% the drive or 100% something really dumb. I just never had this happen before.

You may check the folder's permissions if they are all set to allow writing/reading for your user group.

Try burning them direct without mounting using imgburn. Mounting them can cause, as akun has mentioned. Permission issues/conflicts.
