I recently downloaded someone's scan of a board game and he'd somehow managed to make the PDF vectorised. The game is Settlers of Catan. I can only scan something to jpg, put it together in Acrobat and although it looks okay-ish, if you zoom in it's a mess whereas his was very professional-looking.
It's the same with other professionally released ebooks. Everything's been vectorised. But how?
