How do we get Bitcoins we need a guide

i recall extratorrent wrote a brief guide to getting bitcoins ( as they wanted people to donate bitcoin to them) now that sites dead

so can we all work on this thread to come up with a guide to mining and or buying bitcoin ?  i/we need info on what exchanges to buy from, how to secure the coins we buy seeing as i hear many millions have been stolen recently

etc , can we all chip in what we know and build a usable guide anyone can understand ?

thanks thats a start : ) but that just lacks so much detail, almost every sentence on that really needs a full explination or examples eg on https://bitcoin.org/en/secure-your-wallet it says encrypt your wallet ..how ? what software ? is that free software ? etc

we need a guide that explains EVERY single thing, a guide even your Grandma could follow !

Explains how wallets work ... The other vids can give you a good start... Another interesting thing to do , is tumble bitcoins...
