How do I download a sream on Firefox?

Trying to download streams with my watch tv everywhere account and I've tried a few addons but all are garbage.
They only come in streams, no direct download. I use firefox

There used to be alot of RTP downloaders around, like:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/wwwstreamtransportcom/ Most seem to have disappeared, or got too engrossed with youtube crap.

Tried and it didn't work.
Specifically, I need something that can download from Comedy Central's library and Fox's |
