How do I bypass Microsoft Store 0x803F8001 error?
#1
I used a site (store dot rg-adguard dot net) to download a paid Microsoft Store app for free, but when I try to start the app, I get this: "(app name) is currently not available in your account. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001". How do I bypass that? Anyone know how to fool the app into thinking that I'm logged in? I don't have a Microsoft account, and don't want to get one because I don't agree with their TOS (and never will).

What's the name of their app?

Perhaps we can give that to you .

Multiple apps:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/heic-i...5mg60344hv
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/steam-...ztswtzn7gm (not the trial)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/json-h...57qzdj1bcg
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/media-...2jnfzwb3fg

The DRM is way too restrictive. Microsoft has no right to limit us to 10 devices/account, regardless of the TOS. They're just trying to make more money by forcing us to re-buy the apps on a second account. Now I see why I came here in the first place: I hate having to pay for software, especially when the combined price of the software exceeds what I payed when I bought my PC (recently bought an Acer Nitro 5, $683, and before that a $450 HP Notebook in 2017 - the sound card failed last month).

As much as I agree with you, I don't think any of us here abides by agreements, or there would have been no SuprBay, or The Pirate Bay for that matter.

I'll do some research. I call upon others in this forum to do the same, help out a brother. I'm sure they will too.

All right, you stated your case, I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: About Media Player S PRO, if you have VLC, it does the job better; it will directly play DVDs and Blurays as much as other files, and without the need for codec packs. Media Player S PRO is a crippled media player, just like the Media Player 12 player for Windows 10. I wouldn't pay any mind to it let alone money.

EDIT: About the VLC suggestion, if I'm just acting mean, I'm sorry. It's just that Microsoft software aren't really worth the attention to pirate let alone the attention to spin a few quarters to buy. VLC is free and will always remain free and can do the job much better

If you're really after Media Player 5 PRO, just request it in the forum's Request Applications section and I'll continue to look for it.

That being said, you'll be surprised to see how there are many tools exist where you don't have to pay a cent, and I'm not talking about pirating it either. Keep looking out for this thread in Applications and Software: https://pirates-forum.org/Thread-Your-Us...-Shareware

VLC can be a bit complex. I use PotPlayer in Win and Linux.
