Firstly apologies if i have posted in the wrong section. I have been downloading torrents for years for TV shows i like to keep. I have found other ways of download BBC and ITV programmes, but I would like to know how I can download Channel 4 and Channel 5 programmes. I see other people upload torrents from these channels but i do not know how. Basically i record TV shows onto my Sky HD box and record the ones (that i cannot download) onto my HDD recorder and transfer to an external HDD. Does anyone know how i can download these programmes to my laptop to keep as they do not always appear as torrents to download. Andy advice please, i would be grateful. Thanks

Is there a USB slot where you can copy the recorded material from the HD box?
EDIT: Wait, what's wrong with downloading those programmes with the same way you downloaded ITV and BBC programmes?
Would the methods be the same? I mean, they're in the same categories: TV channels!

I use a programme called youtube-dl it lets you copy the urls from bbc iplayer and itv hub but All4 and my5 are not recognized. I wanted to know what software others use to remove the drm for all4 and my5?

Try Internet Download Manager (IDM) (yes, it's called "Internet Download Manager" by name).
Have you?

I have not heard of it i will give it a go. Is it free software? Has anyone tested it for all4 or my5? Thanks
There is no usb slot, sky block them from being active. I have tried Aimersoft video downloader but the file is not recognized. I see on the torrents the name LINKLE they upload tv shows shown on channel 4 and 5. Im not sure how i can find out what video downloader they use to create the torrents. Does any one know a video downloader that can remove the drm on catch up services? Thanks

I did try free version but when i went to download the url for a programme on my5 it chase downloaded the html link not the actual show. I hope there are simple use instructions on the crack. I tried ffmpeg but could not get it to read url from channel 4 or 5 but it recognised bbc as i tested that.

Ok, ive downloaded it and i think i have followed the instructions carefully. How do i download the actual programme? If i go to add URL it just downloads an HTM file. Im sorry if im not understanding it. I use youtube-dl for bbc and i just paste the url in the command prompt software and it downloads
