Help, I need the Serial Number for PS SC6 & everything seems to not work
#1
I made sure this thread is not already in the topic, but here's my problem:

I downloaded PS sc6 & there was install instructions that told me to copy .dll files into a certain folder (won't let me do that, so I didn't). There is a trial version but I want to keep & install the normal version. I just need the Serial Number.

I tried to download the Adobe Tool from uTorrent & it said the system could not find it & my destination folder is empty. Norton has removed it bc it had a virus. I just want the serial number & then I'd be on my way. I know they don't like serial numbers left in the comments so someone could pm me w/ it if it was easier.

I"m beating my head against a brick wall & at a lost but I made sure this thread is not already here. Sorry if I'm repetitive, what I am is frustrated bc I feel totally illiterate at times.

Thanks in advance.

Why couldn't you copy the .dll to the correct folder? Also turn off your antivirus!

I couldn't open the .dll file. Windows wouldn't let me. How do u temporarily disable Antivirus? I don't want to disable it permanently.

You should be able to open up your Antivirus control panel and turn off virus shield or whatever is running. Then you can kill it in task manager. What message do you get when you try to copy the .dll? You can't open a .dll, unless you were talking about the zip they come in.

That's it I think, I have nothing to open zipped files w/ like winrar or anything like that, the one I thought was "free" wasn't. I really feel so bad that I can't seem to do this as simple as it should be. I am so paranoid about viruses, but anything I try won't let it thru.

Add PS cs6 folder to the exception on Norton (before you paste the .dll in there) after that place the zipped/rared .dll inside the PS folder and extract it, since PS folder is on norton's exception list, it shouldn't complain. If you don't know how to add exceptions, leave here what Norton version you're using.

"I tried to download the Adobe Tool from uTorrent & it said the system could not find it & my destination folder is empty. Norton has removed it bc it had a virus." - Add that folder to the exceptions also, even if It's just temporary.

One more thing, "I couldn't open the .dll file. Windows wouldn't let me." you don't open the dll file, you place it inside PS folder, and that's it.

"I have nothing to open zipped files" get 7-zip from http://www.7-zip.org/ it's free, and it has no viruses lol, use it to extract the .zip or .rar file.
EDIT: I recommended 7-zip but I forgot something, 7-zip doesn't support RAR5 files, so you might wanna go with WinRar cracked or infinite trial lol

IF I'm not mistaken, when using a serial, you have to block PS from connecting to the Internet, and from what I see you're not a computer savy (no offense) so this part might be somehow confusing for you, specially if you're using Windows Firewall.

And for last but not least, since you're not a computer savy, I recommend you to get ESET Nod32, compared to Norton it's way more simple for you, and it also does a great job.
