Now that there is no "Request" forum, the forum is gonna turn into a cluster fuck.
In my opinion, we need a "New Releases" and possibly a "Discussion" and yes a "Request" forum.
Everything in one forum is not good for anybody. It's a jumble.
I bet there are gonna be people responding that are against any organization.
I don't understand that.
End of rant

I totally get your rant and think that, in general, organization is a good thing.
But speaking for myself, I very much prefer a single forum.
With 2 or more forums/sub-forums, I have to open multiple browser tabs to monitor all the forum/sub-forums.
If I just have the main forum open and see the most recent Request post has change, I can't tell if there's just one or multiple new requests.
Hence, I have to pop a new tab open to look at the requests.
So I really like a one stop shop approach so I can see all the chatter related to people with riffing interests.
If folks are careful to make thread titles that are efficiently search-able, I don't think I'll have any issues finding stuff beyond the 1st page.
PS - For Firefox and Chrome users, there's an add-on called PageZipper that tries to automatically load the next page in a forum with page2, page3, etc at the bottom of a thread. It doesn't work in every forum but it does work at Suprbay. What this let's me do is load the first page of a thread, start PageZipper, and page down until all of a thread's pages load in a single web page. Now I can do control-F "find in page" searching for the whole thread. It also works with the main forum page with all our threads. This is another tool, beyond the normal forum search box, that helps me find stuff easily in a single forum.

[You can also change the "threads per page" value in your User CP. I have it set to 50, so currently (in the RT forum) I can see all threads updated in the past 6 weeks on a single page.]

I am truly perplexed by everybody's unwillingness to make this forum for organized.
I dont get it.
I'm speechless....I'm without speech.

There was a post up for people to post their thoughts on whether to keep the requests forum or not for like, 2 weeks. That was the time to bring it up

Right from the get-go, when the first page loads in, this all in one approach looks, and is, much more organized and easier to use than the old "gimme gimme" system. Streamlined and very effective; an entire week of communication and sharing right at log-in, without having to be a tab hog. Great idea that works! Thanks!

No one is "against organization", no one is even against having a newly designed forum; just let us know when you're done with all the front-end coding you're so nonchalantly requesting be done, and then if we like it we'll tell you and maybe it'll be implemented.
