Do you miss movie theaters?

I don't know about you guys but even though i like torrenting movies codvid-19 has really made me appreciate the big screen movie theater going experience. Does anyone else on here miss movie theaters?

Now that they're all gone, theatres can go fuck their faces.

Gone to other places for bigger and better things.

Hell no, and I wouldn't go to the cinema if you paid me.

Reasons:

I got fed up of being the only one who would threaten the gobshites yapping away on their mobile phones,
The prices are extortionate - £20 for 1 adult ticket during the day is a piss take,
The kinds of films I like (non-english ones) just aren't available in my country and torrenting is the only way to watch them,
Most cinemas sell pop (ie soda drinks) but don't do latte, wtf,
You can't smoke,
If you need to go pee, you miss part of the film,
There's always some nob wearing a full bottle of after shave trying to impress his date and everyone in the cinema can taste it,
There's always some noob trying to record the film on their camcorder and you end up being distracted by the brightness of their recording device,
and, there's nothing to put your feet up on.

This pretty much sums it up for me as well. Have to say tho, there was an awesome cine in Granada back in the early 2000s where you could smoke. There were lounge style couch'n'table seats at the back end of the hall, and they served coffee AND beer!!! Watched inland empire there with my by then ex gf (who left me for her drama teacher- the irony!) - a rather unforgettable experience...

Adding to Spud17's reasons, here's one more: Having to watch censored Hollywood films that pander to dictatorships like Mother China, like *cough* *cough* Mulan.

EDIT: Normally, I wouldn't mind since I watch them for free, but paying to watch them, well, why would I?

EDIT: But no, I don't support Spud17's smoking complaint. I am not a smoker, and hope to stay that way. Allowing smoking in theatres will only give way to second hand smoke; it's kind of like allowing others to not wearing mask while gathering in large groups and, well, that's unhealthy.

But for everything else, it's fair game.
