Here in Canada, 30 years ago (or so), someone published a one-off spoof of Playboy called Playboar; it featured pigs instead of hot women. Playboar was so successful that the writer published a sequel of sorts called Penthorse which featured - you guessed it - horses. I actually own a copy of Playboar but it's in storage right now and difficult to find, otherwise I'd scan it and upload it to TPB ;-)

Anyway, until now, I always just thought of Playboar and Penthorse as funny spoofs but now that someone has pointed out that bestiality is legal in this country - which I most certainly did NOT know - I find myself wondering whether the spoof aspect was just a very clever disguise for a magazine actually meant to appeal to fans of bestiality....

Just to be clear there was only ever a single issue of Playboar and Penthorse (at least that's all I ever saw).

Just for the heck of it, I just did a search for Playboar and Penthorse on Amazon's Canada branch. I expected to come up empty on both because I assumed both were long out of print. I was right about Penthorse but it turns out they have several editions of Playboar!
