DVDFab does not work for this?
#51
I am using it on Jurassic World as I write this. It still has 3 1/2+ hours to go. And, even after that, the results [Blu-Ray copy] have to be tested to see if Cinavia is still muting the audio after about 20+ minutes into the film.
This is NOT a patch, but a MOD to the EXE that is version specific. I thought maybe if I pointed folks in the right direction that could test as well.

EDIT: I thought uploads were problematic right now?

I wasn't demanding that you do it right now.

I was suggesting that you do it if you find a reliable solution.

EE, just so you know, DVDs can be riddled with Cinavia as well.

For those, the only way to play them is on a DVD player that doesn't support Blu Rays.

So if you're going to use DVD formats to burn on, make sure that your DVD player doesn't support Blu Rays.

Hope this helps and best of luck.

I have never had a DVD with Cinavia. But, I have been focusing on Blu-Rays for a while now.

It seems DVDFab working with Cinavia is "trickier" than I first thought. They keep a list of films that will work and won't work.

Given the popularity of Jurassic World, I think that will be added to the list, so you really don't have to worry.

I'll dig some shit out and see if it will help.

Well, DVDFab is really at the Beta stage with this. I would not count on them to get very far for now.

That's a good way of thinking about it.

Blu Ray and Cinavia has only found their way onto the consumer world just three to five years ago.

Can it at least work for the other Blu Rays?

Of course, Cinavia is the first thing it's had trouble with in my experience. If you check the DVD-Ranger site, you will see that both they and DVDfab have to download a specific file for the Cinavia protected Blu-Ray. This is very different from all other prots out there. But, I think that you threw up a link for a hardware/Home Theater Player that does not respect Cinavia. It's definitely a "handshake". I don't know how they got that arrangement? But, it must have involved a lot of lobbying!

This was updated to include "Jurassic World". I tested this using the latest version of DVDfab - v9.2.2.6. It was able to "repair"/remove Cinavia from the audio track. No more "Error number 3", etc. Maybe someone could test this on another supported Blu-Ray?
