I guess to sum all this up: It's a handshake between manufactures of hardware Blu-Rays and Cinavia?
DVDFab does not work for this?

Ah, well, don't give up just yet. Pirates don't get mad, they get even.

I just heard back from http://www.cinexhd2.com/ explaining that DVD-Ranger "is not available at the moment"??

That's not what I got. Did you look here? http://www.cinexhd2.com/downloads/

This is CinEx HD Utility and NOT DVD-Ranger ?? What are you suggesting? Use this to decode Cinavia and use something else to decrypt everything else?? EDIT: I guess what I am saying: Wait for them to respond and explain before wasting good $$

DVD Ranger is the alias of the company/person (I don't know which) who releases CinexHD, the tool that supposedly cracks the Blu Rays using a database.
By the way, how well does DVDFab work for the other Blu Rays when ripping, excepting Jurassic World?

It would be nice if they explained why? i.e. DVD-Ranger USES CinEx HD or whatever.... 2. DVDfab has always worked for me. Jurassic World is the first failure because of Cinavia. Although, to be fair, I have not copied that many Blu-Rays so far. This is their list of films with Cinavia.

Yeah, I get mixed-up with those terms anyway. I think the app is CinexHD.
I heard Universal Pictures or Sony makes extensive use of those protective Blu Rays. Other companies have used it, but not as pronounced because of fees to use Cinavia. They don't need to put Cinavia on their Blu Rays, but the post-2012 machines have to. That's as much sense I have ever gotten out of this. You no sense at all? Yeah, I know. Well, just to say, best of luck for your other Blu Ray discs and I am sorry that I can't help you any further; I don't even have Blu Rays, I just know how to keep up with the information.

Remember what I said about a "handshake"? i.e. I can cycle the audio on "Jurassic World" back and forth to un-mute the audio. The "drawback" is that Cinavia recovers and then starts muting the audio all over again. So, maybe a Blu-Ray player that does not respect Cinavia would be able to play the audio, unmuted?

Where do you live? (Don't answer, it's a rhetiorical question!)
If you said "Malaysia," or any part of Asia in general, I would have linked this to you: http://www.boe.com.my/shopping/?product=...ray-player I don't live in Malaysia, nor do I know if BOE is a legit company selling legit items, but it seems to be a good start. Like the Stupid Beaver says, playing pirated Blu Rays onto a Cinavia player is like cutting steak with a spoon. Of course, I still use a DVD player and a DVD burner. I can't afford the newer stuff, so I'll just spend time with what I can use and that'll be the end. I don't need anything else for now. |
