Quote:Audio outputs temporarily muted. Do not adjust the playback volume. The content being played is protected by Cinavia™ and is not authorized for playback on this device
This message appeared on my home theater Blu-Ray on a copy of Jurassic World. It's really annoying: muting the audio.
I thought DVDfab could handle this, but it seems as if it did not work for this Blu-Ray?
TorrentFreak reported that DVD-Ranger can handle this, but I have not used this software. I'm not sure if it is available and updated as frequently as DVDFab.
Any ideas?

The website: http://www.cinexhd.com/
The database: http://www.cinexhd2.com/cinexdb/
The trouble is that all Blu Ray players are equipped with Cinavia.
I'll keep researching as to how to tell this protection to fuck its face.
EDIT: Tell us the whole story: where is it from? what type of file is it? We need more.

That is a misleading false statement as there is dvd/bluray players that will play encodes with Cinavia.
Sorry for not having anything to add to the topic.

Proof?
EDIT: Well there are early attempts to defeat Cinavia and AnyDVD has allegedly been able to reverse it with the most success.

@impPROvise
Do you mean that some Blu-Ray home theater players can play Blu-Ray copies that have the Cinavia restriction? [w/o the audio muting?]
@RobertX
http://www.cinexhd.com/ is a trial and requires $$? And, the same for AnyDVD with Blu-Rays.
I found this: http://www.cinexhd2.com/dvdranger/ and was considering buying DVD-Ranger. TorrentFreak and other sources reported that this can defeat Cinavia. However... I could not find a download or purchase link for DVD-Ranger?? I must be doing something wrong??
EDIT: There must be a "global" need for this. What are others doing when they run into this Cinavia restriction?

my approach to this issue is and has always been the following:
i don't play pirate bluray copies on cinavia-infected devices,
much like i don't cut my steak with a spoon.
cinavia-infected devices are meant to play non-pirated blurays.
having said that, you may always mux the video from the bluray
with the audio from the dvd, assuming you have access to both.

Well son, you've come to the right place; The Pirate Bay will always have updated copies of the AnyDVD software. Try it until you have enough to buy it.
The other alternative, as it might have been suggested by bob5695, is to use a hardware media player (NOT Windows Media Player, those are software).
Most people won't settle and this is why the battle for a good software Blu Ray backup solution is still not over.

Is the above what you meant?

1. I was talking about using my home theater Blu-Ray player == Hardware player. This is where the Cinavia issue cropped up. This is also why I asked if some "hardware players" might behave differently?
2. AnyDVD, in trial or "hacked", will not handle Blu-Rays! Only a legit installation will work on Blu-Rays. People need to understand this!

If I understand correctly, the TV Blu Ray player does not play the burned Jurrasic World copy. T/F?
EDIT: All TV Blu Ray players have Cinavia, so I think the answer to your first question, as I understand it, is "no," at least most of the time.
EDIT: I thought all AnyDVDs do everything, hacked or legit. My foreign DVDs can play on my computer DVD drive. Where did you discover this?
