Cumulative Windows Updates

I've been experimenting Windows 10 updates as of late, and I have some questions about it.

If I download cumulative patch, say KBA and later discover a later patch KBB, do I have t oinstall both, or is KBB a replacement for KBA?

Now, while we're at it, does KBB also replace smaller updates, like ones that aren't cumulative?

I guess it all comes down to this: does a later cumulative patch replace all previous patches, cumulative or otherwise?

From what I gathered, the 'cumulative updates' include all updates for that version.
Cumulative updates are monthly releases.
Any update received between 2 cumulative updates will be rolled into the most recent one.

To quote from one article:
"A cumulative update means that it contains all the updates of that specific version of Windows. Installing this update will make the system up to date even if you don’t have older updates downloaded and installed."[I]

However, Adobe Flash Player and .Net Framework appear as separate ([I]cumulative) updates. These are quite likely not included in the 'Cumulative Update' for Windows 10.

You can cross-check your updates using the Microsoft Update Catalog, to see if anything is missed out.
Example search '1903 x64', if you have the 1903 version of Win 10 on a x64. Change the search string suitably.
