Category attribute on <tr> tag
#1
Could you add the categories as an ID attribute to the <tr> tags? It would make a lot of nice things possible for those of us who use user styles to improve our experience of TPB.

Actually it would be even nicer if you could add the entire torrent title as an ID attribute to the <tr> tag... there's some stuff in the pron categories that I for one would rather not known even the existence of :-)

Random example for torrent "https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/11941164/Bach_-_Weihnachts-Oratorium_-_Herreweghe":
<tr class="alt" id="category104" id="Bach.-.Weihnachts-Oratorium.-.Herreweghe">

EDIT: Split from "Add or Rename a Category or Subcategory" by Moderator, thanks :-)

This has nothing to do with adding new categories or sub categories.

Additionally, the id attribute can only be used once for an element. Using it as you suggest would be creating malformed HTML.

No, I suspected it might not be quite the right place, but it did have something to do with categories :-)   So thanks for splitting it off. Is there anyway for me to rename this new thread to something more sensible?

Ah, I hadn't realized that about the ID attribute :-(   That's what will happen with guys like me who don't write any HTML, just tries to twist other peoples pages to our own taste :-)

However the idea should still work if a single ID is made by merging the the torrent serial number, title and category, or according to http://www.w3schools.com/ you can have multiple classes for each element, so the class attribute could be used instead.

You can go back and edit your first post and by changing the subject, you will change the thread title.

Yes, multiple classes can be placed within a class attribute. That is a very common way to make javascript dynamic controls do their thing.

Messing with the ID attribute will likely break a lot of the CSS.

There are probably more appropriate ways to use HTML5 or XML tags to accomplish this, but that is currently outside my realm of experience.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Winston will be convinced to implement this any time soon.
