Building Massive Star Wars Chronological Torrent, Looking for Any Assistance
#1
Greetings all. So this is my plan; I’m looking to upload a torrent composing of any and every piece of Star Wars literature, movies, comics, games etc, which would be a huge torrent, but the most comprehensive torrent to date. I have compared three (actually 5, but two were not so great, ) comprehensive timelines and did my best to sync all of the entries as best as I could as each offered different perspectives and entries, but as you’ll see there may be some that need re-ordered.

I plan to upload everything in chronological order, just like on the timeline, so when you open say, the 90BBY folder, its contents contain exactly what is labeled on the timeline, even if it is only a chapter of a book or a few pages from a comic. The beauty is that the folders will be in order so that you can flow right through the entire Star Wars experience, books, comics, videos and games. As you can imagine this will take some time, but the major areas I will need help on will be the video games and other content that is not presented on the timeline (RPGS/CCGs, audio files etc.) There will be entries that I am missing as well. I have downloaded over the years, most of the books and comics, but there are some that I have recently discovered while comparing the multiple timelines that I do not have, which is another reason I am reaching out.

It will be an ongoing torrent once completed, updated say every 6 months or so, which will make for a great community based torrent for all geeks alike with updated and current entries. PM me if you are interested in helping with the process regardless of the contribution and/or wish to see the timeline I am following. I especially will need some help in the video games portions. Just a heads up, what I’m looking for when it comes to the video games is either the in game cutscenes/videos to form a “movie” of sorts (some of which I already have) or others that may need video of actual gameplay. (I’ll give more details via PM) Anyway, I have begun piecing this together, but have only started a few days ago, so I’ll take any help offered. Thanks everyone!!!!

sounds neat, but you are going to run into a few problems.

i don't think that such a torrent would ever be seeded completely because people will just pick and choose what they want and never download the entire torrent... especially the games since they won't work on every os.

also, depending on how many individual files are present in the torrent, the index might not allow it since there is a size limit to the actual torrent file.

you'll be better off breaking it into sections such as movies, comics, books, games, etc.

Thanks for the tip. Yes my timeline is quite large, I didn't think a single torrent would be the way to go, so breaking it into chunks will be what I'll shoot for. I suppose it'll be easier once it's all together, then you can reference the timeline and open each torrent accordingly and grab the corresponding material as necessary

What I would suggest is that you create an account just for uploading your Star Wars material. Then, in the description of every torrent write that you have uploaded all of this stuff. If you upload it from oldest to newest they will be able to see the timeline from oldest to newest as well. That's just my idea though.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to keep that in mind for when I finally have all the material for the timeline, which is a hell of a lot. It's going to take a bit of time to put it all in order, especially splitting sections of books and comics into smaller portions, not too mention trying to hunt down some of the items that I don't have. Thanks again
