Bittorrent problem
#1
i use bittorrent client, as i just removed an external hard drive windows relabelled a drive letter of another hard drive i had stuff downloading to ( bastards !! )

so i deleted the .torrent file from bittorent ( of a large tvshow torrent)  to go get it again so i could carry on downloading a large file

but..  bittorrent is saying the torrent your trying to add is already in the list of torrents do you want to add trackers, even if i click yes the file (tvshow series) doesnt show up in bittorrent client

how do i fix this ?

ok think ive solved it , go to file - options and tick show sidebar ( in bittorrent which is same as utorrent) then labels shows on the left hand side.

next click the word hidden and that then shows up the 76gb file id deleted, it was saying error cant open .torrent file so i removed that ( right click on it then select remove and delete .torrent)
then i went back to tpb and clicked the magnet link of the file again and its now added itseld to bittorrent client and appears to be checking the file

once its checked it i hope it will continue downloading from where id got too !

all because microsoft fuck with your drive letters

You could use a VirtualMachine, then run your BitTorrent needs on it.

You can always remap the volume label assigned to the external drive. See here. You will need to have administrative access.
OR
Search google for 'how to remap a drive on windows xxx", where xxx is your version.

Once done remapping, in your torrent client, do a 'hash check' and resume the torrent from where it left off.
You don't have to delete it or re-download it all over.
