Can someone please provide instruction to upgrade. Every time I tried i ended up losing the patch and all my Access machines.

Just used v2.8.0a to upgrade my windows client to version 21.14.5924.8013, no issues.

To the person above asking for instructions to upgrade, 

1. Shutdown services and backup your install folder from program files folder
2. Download latest stable screenconnect installer msi from connectwise. Also newest patchier from this thread.
3. Unzip and run the exe for the patchier.  It has step 1 - 4 buttons on the program window.  Do each and read along.
4.  It will patch the msi you just downloaded, install the upgrade, and make other needed changes to your system.
If it all goes well, it will keep your customizations including port settings, SSL cert, and current connected clients.  If not use that backup.

That's it.

UPDATE: oh and be aware, your connected clients may take an hour or so to call back in and reconnect. screenconnect by default waits longer and longer between retries to reconnect.

ScreenConnect_21.14.5924.8013 installed successfully with 2.8 on server , i dont know how i got sessions  back . i am still confused but did not got back sessions on which i performed an upgrade , Can any one help

- Please do not post thanks and other posts that do not contribute (the mods don't like them and it clutters the thread)
- Hosts file editing no longer required as the uri's are patched out of the appropriate files

Hi Arlecho,

I tried to install ScreenConnect con CENTOS but it won't work. Do you have any idea?

When I tried netstat -tulpn , it said that it is listening on port 8041 and 8042. But nothing worked with 8040.

Anyone meet this? Please help.
