Anti P2P blocked downloading my torrent ?
#1
Hi everyone,

yesterday morning i've noticed that through the night an ip downloaded 90Mo of data outta a 19Mo file... so i've added the ip to ipfilter.dat ok done... (please see image of a few differents screenshots)

Problem : I've tried to download my last µP from a notebook @ home and
i can see that there is many client stucked at 99.6% and I can't even myself start downloading my own torrent from another computer .. it keeps on "connecting to peers" ...

So what do you think of the fact DLing one of my last uploads freezes ? and how can I allow client to finish downloading the files ?

NB/ As well yesterday I wanted to post a thread regarding these anti p2p organisazions and to advice noobies on how configure/use/edit ipfilter.dat.. as i was trying - forcing - a couple of links into the thread description (utorrent forums mainly) I was warned by a message saying that " a mod would have to look at my thread " ... spam thingy ? the thread'sstill alive yuh think ? (name was : AntiP2P Satan µTorrent etc )

I see what happened and sent you a PM explaining it.

do a recheck and see what's missing... also, sometimes you can just stop a torrent then restart it and everything works itself out.

In this case I would need his permission before posting that  info. ;]

thanks for your answers .
Tried everything without success and yes keygen is 3/4 missing but it was ok / added to exclusions list of AV before upload started, this is linked with the screenshot i've posted earlier , since this IP sniffed 90Mo out of this 19 torrent... weird but I guess I'd better have it deleted and re up the .rar this time.

I've added that SATAN µTorrent to the worldwide AP2P blocklist.
By this time tomorrow everybody will be getting it in their blocklists.
It's rare that residential IP addresses are blocked so it will expire in a year.

It's not "magnifique" at all. It's a textbook example of why blocklists are retarded and why only retards have anything to do with blocklists.

Your antivirus deleted one of the files in your torrent, resulting in your torrent client uploading pieces which didn't match their hash values.

An innocent downloader downloaded those pieces. They failed the hash check so they were automatically re-requested, and your client uploaded the bad pieces again. Repeated ad infinitum. You wasted the bandwidth of the downloader, he did nothing to you.

Compounding the harm you had done, you then posted his IP address publicly, and your retarded friend added it to a worldwide blocklist, preventing the innocent downloader from being able to download from anyone stupid enough to be running a blocklist for a year. And preventing any of them from being able to download from him, for no reason whatsoever as he is no threat to anyone.

The pair of you are the threats, and I've had enough of your idiocy. Don't ever post an IP address here again.
