American Nightmare
If your takeaway from watching the movie Scream was “Why don’t they build the whole plane out of the opening phone call scene?" then American Nightmare is the movie for you!
It’s Halloween night, and our cast is gathered in what appears to be the set of the Friends coffee shop as reimagined by Bulgarian public access television. Our heroes, who depending on the lighting appear to be either juniors in college or 43 years old, confess their fears over the phone to a local pirate radio DJ. These fears include voodoo, sex, and a tiny cartoon frog jumping into your mouth and punching your uvula like a boxing speed bag.*
One by one, these middle-aged teens start dropping dead from these exact fears. It’s up to Jessie to stop the killer, who it turns out is the very same killer who murdered her sister one year ago tonight! Can Jessie stop them before the producers are served copyright violation notices from several other more successful horror franchises? Find out in American Nightmare!
