Am I the only person that prefers 480p?

Since I use a monitor and not a TV screen, I naturally prefer lower resolutions.
I have no need to see nose hairs on people....

Some people are simply more sensitive than others, so it is not the fault of the TV manufacturers. Some people are even sensitive to the electirc fields of electronics, and a TV screen would be much largers than a monitor.

Make sure refresh is at least 70-75HZ, as 60Hz has been known to cause headaches.

Also contrast too high can aggrivate headaches.

But.. yes, there are some others who prefer lower resolutions, and I am personally aghast at some of the bandwidth wasted on some monster sized videos.

I prefer 720p, to tell you the truth, but I don't mind 480p.

You see, I still rely on DVD players to play my videos, so anything more than 480p is not necessary.

4K definition in a 15" frame at 2 ft. distance doesn't make much sense, but if you sit at 10 ft. from your device, a 30"-50" size is desirable.
Keepig a distance from the image and using AMOLED or plasma technology devices is more comfortable and safe for your eyes.

LOL
I once watched a really hardcore porn in 4k.   I'm amazed that I haven't locked myself up in a chastity belt.

Let's just say razor burn, arse pimples and body fluids should NEVER be viewed in HD.   Now I'm so glad that 3D never became popular.

Couldn't the reason why it gives you headaches be that you watch those HD videos in 60fps?
I noticed that on youtube, there are almost no 720p+ 30fps videos...

dig up archives and find this thread.

one more solution that might be useful:
pay attention to the distance of your eyes to the screen. if you are playing a movie in full screen, you should move slightly away from the screen to avoid dizziness/headache.
