Turning off the internet is not the same as disabling your network adapters. Disabling your network adapters tells the software that there is no possibility of an internet connection (That's putting it as simple as i can). Turning off the internet, the software looks to your network adapters and sees a viable connection.

If you don't know how to disable your network adapters just say so and i'll tell/show you how.

Hey, sorry it's been a while since I've updated - busy week. I've tried using the torrent you linked to with the instructions several times (with restarts after uninstalls of previous attempts, downloading the files multiple times, turning off my anti-virus and [correctly!] disabling network adapters), but I'm consistently coming across a problem where when I open the keygen (as admin, and not). The software doesn't seem to work - it either hangs constantly with a spinning loading icon when I hover over the application window, or is totally unresponsive when I try to click anything on it. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I'm turning off my anti-virus before even downloading the torrent (because otherwise it was detecting and deleting the keygen before the torrent was even finished downloading) and disabling my network adapters as soon as finished downloading the torrent, but the problem at the moment is consistently the keygen.. I'm stumped, as this seemed to work before from the same file (when I'd just turned off the internet instead of disabling the network adapters) ... Thanks in advance.

I think for the whole thing. You may have to try maybe you have to try for just installation and just activation.

If your using a shop-bought machine, you've got processes working in the back-ground Anti-Virus related. The loading icon and inability to open anything else is a sure fire sign that an AV is still active Wink

Try doing the following:

1.  Hit the windows key and R at the same time

2.  Type gpedit.msc and hit enter

3.  Click on:

Administrative Templates / Windows Components

4. Windows Defender or Windows Defender Antivirus

5. When the twin window opens. Double click on Turn off Windows Defender / Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus (Which ever one of the two you see)

6. Select the Enabled button. Select Apply. Select OK

7. Close Local Group Policy Editor

8. Re-boot

Now try the process again.

Also like to point out that using gpedit.msc you can disable automatic installation of updates, might help to preserve working pirated applications.

Hey lidlnelly and contrail, sorry it's been a while again. Just saw your follow up posts regarding my continuing problems with the installation.

I tried looking for gpedit.msc and don't have it on my machine, so I've looked online and what I've found so far suggests I need to download it from places like https://drudger.deviantart.com/art/Add-G...-215792914

I just wanted to check that this was right, and not someone posting videos to trick novices like me into downloading spy/malware..! If that is correct, I download & install that, and then use it to turn off my AV as lidlnelly described on Oct 14th, then download the torrent, before running through the installation process as defined earlier, right...?

Hiya Smile I know this is an old thread but it was super helpful for me (I'd also been trying to download those fake torrents... whoops)
So it's installed fine, and it works great but I need to update it to be able to edit my cameras raw images (CR2).

How should I update it? I am not sure if I should sign in on Lightroom, or if I need to use Adobe Creative Cloud? Or maybe I cannot update it at all?

I had it working previously and as soon as I signed in it said the product key had been revoked. Then I realised I hadn't run the disable activation thing. So I had to delete and reintall. Now I'm worried to update in case I have to start the install again.

@MissyDae Updating usually not a good idea with torrents. I would not sign in or go near adobe cloud. You really should use firewall to make sure it does not connect. If you need to update look for a newer torrent

Do you mean you should disable the adapters when installing a torrent? i never do that and they work fine.i use comodo to block all connection with internet. When installed i block the folder it is in from connecting to internet with comodo. What good is seeing a viable connection when it cannot connect? Am i misunderstanding you?
