Adobe Illustrator CS6 Error 1 & 16
#1
Hi,
I recently downloaded Illustrator CS6 (courtesy of thethingy). I *believe* I followed the instructions correctly. The application loads and works great for a day. Then, when I try to reopen the next day I either get Adobe Error:1 or Error:16. I also have Photoshop and InDesign installed - so far no problems with those. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have actually tried to follow those steps already. When I get to the "Set Permissions" step, I find that I don't have a folder called Adobe PCD. Is this something I need to add (like how I've seen other threads on creating the SLStore folder)?

If you can post a link to the torrent you downloaded and the EXACT steps, as you read and performed them. I'll walk you through the process mate.

Thanks, Nelly!
I downloaded this torrent: https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7225247/...ATOR_CS6__[thethingy]

Per the included instructions, I turned off my internet connection, and installed the app in trial mode. I opened the app in trial mode, and closed it. I then copied the dll files for 64 bit and placed them here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64 Bit)\Support Files\Contents\Windows.

When I opened Illustrator, it worked perfectly for a day. Then, I received error 16. If I try to open the program as an administrator, I receive error 1.

First of all. Go to the Adobe website and make sure your rig meets min requirements. Conflicting A/V's can also throw up such errors as they will not allow certain files to be written.

1. Run only 1 A/V.
2. List ALL Adobe free downloads you've currently got installed.

You've got a simple permissions issue from either an A/V or a "free" Adobe download.

Ah, ok. I only have an Intel i3 processor...it says a Pentium 4 is required. However, I'm running Photoshop and InDesign CS6 with no problems.

Photoshop: https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/10175329...6_Extended
InDesign: https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7228213/...ESIGN_CS6_[thethingy

1. Closed all other programs, and still had the same problem.
2. Flash Player & Reader 11.0 are the other free ones I have installed.

Thanks for taking the time to help!

Ok so if it was me i'd un-install everything Adobe via REVO and use advanced clean up.

SLStore and SLCache are the 2 folders you NEED to make sure are deleted. If not. Manually delete them.

Then run the install process after re-boot as normal.
