Adjusting ports when port-forwarding with VPNs
#1
OK, I understand that the VPN will take care of port-forwarding.

Now, if I was to rely on the VPN servers to take care of port-forwarding, would I still need to forward the same ports of the Bit Torrent client I am using to be compatible with the VPN server?

When you turn on port forwarding, you will be assigned a port. You'll want to tell your BitTorrent client to use that port. You also don't have to forward the ports through any routers.

Once connected to the VPN service, you will know your IP and forwarded port. (you may have to choose a suitable server for this)
Configure your bittorrent client to use this as listen port. That is all (to my knowledge).
